is it just me, or should it be URL, not URI?

It’s both. I’m sure you are aware URL = Uniform Resource Locator; URI = Universal Resource Identifier. Every URL is a URI; and since URL doesn’t make as much sense when talking about feeds, I felt URI was more appropriate. URL could have worked though.
